Sometimes it is not sufficient to just to put up the demands through the proper channel ,as it may fall into empty year,so students have to get violent to see that their demands are fulfilled.Similar situation arised in my institute,as one of the final year student was charged with disciplinary action just because he was using a prof. id on internet .so ,the final year student had called for the first time in the history of NIT Rourkela- a student strike.

Strike was called to make a student judiciary committee and to have atleast 40% student in disciplinary committee so that the decision of the disciplinary committee could be discussed with them and so accordingly punishment would be given as otherwise the punishment is just too harsh for even a small mistake . We understand that making rule is good and it is for the benefit of all the studets just to be in a college known for its discipline .
