India Lac(K)s Indians

Despite being a force of 1.2 billion, India lacks Indians……. Surprised????....ahhh…. don’t be!!!

It’s very important for the development of a country that its residents should be supportive to the cause of its growth and shoulder one another to bring about a change…..but in India I think something else is going on….still on every 15^th Aug and 26^th Jan or on any other auspicious day of India……the so called Prime minister or President or any political leader for that matter will shamelessly say that by 2020….by 2015…by 20??…. We will be in the list of developed country. I seriously doubt how things are gonna change when all of us are reluctant to change…..

I respect the Vision 2020 of Dr. Kalam, but I am in serious doubt that will that vision be achieved even by 2050 as for that…like he has mentioned in all his books…the patriotism should be their in each and every individuals blood…. But contrary to that, people here don’t even bother to claim themselves as Indians….. U can find Maharastrians….….Bihari…….Bengali…..Assamese……Rajasthanis…...among other depending on the state you are visiting….but sad to say u wont find a single Indian in this country….. 

The media has a very important role to play in any countries development but contrary to that they don’t even bother to address us as Indians… I can recall… during the Anna Hazare’s protest…. Times of India quoted as---”Today the guwahatians gheraoed the PM guest house….blah…blah…blah”…..where does this Guwahatians came from??? Is it a separate country??.... we all are an integral part of India….. and what Anna ji did was for the betterment of India….rather they could have quoted as---“Today the Indians in Guwahati gheraoed…blah..blah..” which could have some sense….and would have been more patriotic….

Needless to mention about the shit leaders ruling various unprivileged states of India….they have actually forgotten the very basic of nationalism….and are beating their own drums in what ever fashion they feel like…..just to quote some…..“Maharastra is for Maharastrains and no other persons from any other state are allowed…..”……..” we won’t share the treasure with the country as the treasure belongs to Kerala”…..and many others….. If the leaders have such a mindset why don’t you divide the country into N number of different countries instead of calling it as a state…start fighting for a separate country rather than for separate state’s…so that we have to make Passport and Visa to visit that particular part of the world…..and will have to have a working Visa if one aspires to work in that particular part of the country…. or better go for dual citizenship as is prevalent in USA….. why to remain under the roof of one country……when you cant abide by any of the constitutionals laws and wont allow the people to use any of their fundamental rights…better to divide…..shed the tag of being Indian…. As I don’t think any such people deserve to be called as an Indian….

I don’t think the problem in India is of corruption…rather its of lack of nationalism….as if we have the patriotic feeling we wont cheat our mother nation and so the menace of corruption will automatically be solved….Be it Anna ji or any other until and unless we have the feeling for the nation in us we won’t find solution to any of our problem……

The problem lies with the power….India being a country of youth….The power lies in the hand of youth and again sorry to say…the youth of the country is totally confused… they get drifted in any direction….as guided by these narrow minded politicians….. 

Every thing depends on the way one perceive things….I will definitely say that India Lacs Indians (instead of India lacks Indians) and believe that once we get united we can bring a change….what happened in Ramlila Maidan, Delhi a couple of weeks back  was just an example of what change a unified directed force can bring and believe me friends until and unless we change we cant force anyone else to change …until and unless we develop the feeling for the mother nation nothing is going to change….It’s the collective effort that can bring a change and no person in single can bring a drastic change does not matter how hard he may try…. Everything needs support…… and a positive attitude towards the cause will definitely bring the change we dream of, ”India’s name in the list of developed country”.

I am Proud that I am an Indian….how many of you are???

Even souls know computer and internet !!!

Today I had a strange experience I would like to share….. 

I was sitting alone in the department’s computer lab in odd hours (night) doing work for my final year project.  It was not for the first time I was sitting late in the lab but today I had a strange experience…. The computer was showing some error messages soon after I logged in…. initially I didn’t paid attention to it and continued my work….. it started with a mere movement of the mouse cursor…which is quite common so I thought there might be some problem with the PC….. and continued my work….

Meanwhile one of my friend pinged me on gmail and I was chatting with him…… as soon as I left the keyboard “bhut” got typed and was sent to him….. I closed the chat window…..

I started working on the project again and continuous flipping of the tabs in the taskbar started….it was continuously switching from one to another…..  so I closed all other tabs except Mozilla and the software I was currently working…. The flipping still continued…..  in the mean time I saw a mail in my inbox and was replying to a person via chat window….then like earlier as soon as I left the keyboard….. “bhoot” got  typed and was sent to him….. this happened for two time consecutively….I even messaged him saying “…computer me bhoot ghush gaya hai.... :P“….. and then I signed out of the gmail and closed the browser… and continued my work…..

The flipping continued again and this time it was the limit…..the closed browser (mozilla) got automatically opened up and in the address bar “bhoot” got automatically typed and the browser started searching for it….. the search engine retrieved some of the related  links…. For a few moment nothing happened…then I murmured what next…??...open the link you want to open…..(by that time I had realized that someone else is also accessing the computer and is making me feel his presence)

Soon after I uttered those words what happened was horrifying…..it clicked on the image tab…with “bhoot“ written on it…… I got scared and immediately closed the browser….(if it would have retrieved some scary pics)….then I would have definitely gone crazy (as it was around midnight and I was all alone in the department…)  without wasting much of the time I closed the system…packed my bag and rushed to the hostel…….

I could not actually figure out whether this was a prank done by some software genius….by hacker or was it really a soul present in the lab…. But would definitely say that if it was a soul….it was truly genius as he know how to use computer and internet search engines…… moreover if it was some computer genius doing the job….dude u frightened me….. and could have caused nervous breakdown of many other persons…… so please don’t try such pranks at least at midnight…..

An adorable celebrity!!

The evening of the National student convention was marked by the mesmerizing performance by none other than the Indian Idol fame….Jharkhand Ratna Awardee…..Jharkhand ki dynamite…… A.K.A….. Miss Puja Chaterjee…who was the celebrity performer for the evening in NIT Rourkela. The stage was set ablaze by her flamboyant presence and she enthralled the crowd by her energetic performance….by her innocence…..by her kinesics…..above all by her cute and lovely smile….. The crowd went mad by the way she connected with them…….she was performing on all recent chartbuster in her melodious voice…for the crowd full of energy……dancing…hopping…. Juggling….that is what defines the crowd of NIT Rourkela….. There was no song which the audience demanded and she didn’t perform…. thereby stealing the heart of all…..and the show….. she despite having given a rocking performance for more than a hour was feeling so fresh and energetic that it was impossible to match her level of energy….The show was superb, students had a blast and enjoyed to the fullest being in the limit…. Even the professor told, it was the best show held at NIT till date at the end of the show….

 What made people admire her more……was her friendly nature and super cool attitude….despite being so famous……being a renowned personality in the country…she doesn’t seemed to have any of the attitude a celeb or star performer have…..she became so comfortable with the volunteer and anyone and everyone who met her in that small time span of a single day…..it was really nice to see a celeb so down to earth and so frank…..  

It was unbelievable to know her interest in visiting the campus area…... a celeb being interested in having a campus tour…..at 12: 30 AM (on the same day when she had had a splendid show…..) Showing her around was a memorable experience.… none of us had ever had a walk in institute  campus with such a gorgeous companion  ever….and she being a celeb and the night time was just an icing on the cake…. It is a moment we are ever going to forget….

She walked with us through the academic area to the last hostel which is at a distance around 2 km from the guest house and having Maggie and Sprite sitting near the SBI ATM in the hostel area…… I was wondering how a celeb can be so grounded…. It was fun chatting with her, sharing experiences, and learning minutes of celeb life…..Haven’t seen ever so friendly person like her…..As just in a day’s span she became such a good friend with all of us…..

Just can say—“we admire you and adore your simplicity……”
