Good evening everyone…
I have been waiting for this day right from my first year and the day have finally arrived, the four splendid years of my life is to be over soon. Summarizing these four years will take a lot of time and even then I may miss some moments which I will cherish for life. As professors say time and again, these are the four golden years of your life, which you cannot get back again, agree to each and every word of yours Sir!!
In these four years, I have grown from Child (under 18) to Man (21+), from a simple person to a professional, from no one to someone (Probably), these transformations have been wonderful. Over the past four years, I have learnt many things in academics and more importantly the practical stuffs, which have and will shape my life in a better way. I have developed a whole new set of interests, hobby, have overcome some of my fears, gained confidence in public speaking, developed quality of leader, gained skills of managing people and organizing events within constraints in best possible ways.
Earlier writing an article was a nightmare for me and now I am a blogger, back in school I was a constant low scorer in English and would fear the essay writing part arguing how will I get the idea about any topic given in the question to write essay on and now I think I can write at least a paragraph on any topic one can ask for, this may be small things for some but it’s a big achievement for me.
Most important part of engineering is the Hostel life, a quote say “Hostel is a home away from home”, because here we meet some strangers who in course of four years become a part of your life known as friends, with whom you can share everything. These friends don’t let you miss your home, spending every second with them is an occasion in itself, be it the birthday celebrations (GPL’s) followed by holi with cake, the late night parties, the night outs, the unending discussions on irrelevant topics, those loitering in campus at night fearlessly, those planned bunking of classes, among others are the thing I am gonna miss like hell once I graduate out. It feels nostalgic even to think that just a couple of golden days are left to be cherished.
The most important things my Alma-mater has given me apart from an identity in the world are my friends. Trying to summarize my four years in four lines---
“जिंदगी से हर एक मौज मिली,
कभी कभी नहीं हर रोज मिली,
बस एक सच्चा दोस्त माँगा था जिंदगी से,
मुझे दोस्तों की पूरी फौज मिली”
To my juniors I would like to say, live your life in these four years as-
“जिंदगी में किस हद तक जाना है ये कौन जानता है,
किस मंजिल को पाना है ये कौन जानता है,
दोस्ती के दो पल, जी भर कर जी लो,
किस रोज बिछर जाना है, ये कौन जानता है”
Thank you all !!
